On this night of all nights
Of goblins and bats
Wicked witches abound
With ominous eyes
And the blackest of cats
On this spookiest of nights
Evil specters alight
In graveyards and towns
And haunt weary souls
With ghoulish delight
Nearby on a hill
Is a foreboding old place
That sends terror to all
For within lie the remains
Of one who died in disgrace
Forsaken by a lover
And distraught with despair
The story goes that a man
Took his own life
With a rope and a chair
Legend says that his spirit
Haunts the house to this day
And that his bones
Can be heard rattling
Ten thousand miles away
