We can’t live in denial much longer; fall is coming. Say goodbye to impromptu cottage getaways and evening ice cream cones and hello to crisp autumn air and pumpkin spice lattes.
Speaking of new beginnings, fall is a great time to kick-start your fitness routine! With the gorgeous autumn colours enveloping the Capital landscape, now is a better time than ever to get outside, get moving and soak in the beauty of the changing seasons!
Lucky for us, Gatineau Park has some of the most scenic trails to take advantage of, and it’s only a 15-minute drive from the city! How lucky are we to have this stunning national park at our fingertips? So grab the bike, head out for a run or bring along the family for a weekend hike. Whatever you prefer, Gatineau Park is a must-see this fall.
Also located on the Champlain Parkway is the The Étienne Brûlé Lookout, which offers a gorgeous view of the Ottawa River. This area connects to various hiking and mountain biking trails.
The Pink Lake Lookout, located on the Gatineau Parkway near the Park’s southern entrance, offers serene views and interesting ecology. Pink Lake is a must-see for all ages, and the trail that winds around the lake is a perfect opportunity to sneak in some activity!
