Zombies Invade Ottawa’s Bank Street this Halloween

Get ready. Zombie flesh-eaters are coming to town. Ottawa’s Bank Street is predicting a zombie infestation this Halloween, and the mindless, ghoulish creatures aren’t showing up empty-handed. Hosted by the Bank Street Business Improvement Area (BIA), the first-ever Zombie Crawl is a scare-fest that won’t disappoint.

The terrifyingly spirited zombies will descend on Bank Street, eager for prey. Victims of the zombie invasion will be given a barcode that may unlock one of three coffins, each containing either $1,500, $1,000 or $500 worth of gift certificates for select Bank Street retailers. All other barcodes will give zombie victims access to special offers from participating BIA members with zombie window decals.

“We’re excited to turn our dynamic community into a zombie haven this Halloween,” said Christine Leadman, Executive Director of the Bank Street BIA. “It’s a great opportunity to have people see Bank Street in a new and fun light, while enjoying the many world-class retailers and restaurants in the area.”

For the not so faint of heart, coffins can be found at La Prep, on the corner of Bank Street and Cooper Street.

Humans, zombies and vampires are all invited to don their deadly attire. If you’re interested in becoming a zombie on October 31st this year, contact Elise at info@toastevents.com
