A Company of Fools is happy to return to what it does so well: performing Shakespeare in the park. This summer, grab the family, pack a picnic, and head to your local park to catch a performance of The Tempest. If the cast’s enthusiasm means anything, you won't be disappointed.

Camp Fortune Aerial Park

When: Until October 30th
Where: Camp Fortune, 100 Rue Laurier, Gatineau
What time: 9 am until 2 hrs before dusk

Over 25 tree-top challenges await you at Camp Fortune’s Explorer Aerial Park. Climb ladders, amble across zigzag bridges, balance over tight ropes, crawl through barrels and fly through the air on the zip lines. Only 15 minutes from downtown in Chelsea, Québec. Camp Fortune also has a course that is perfect for kids!

RBC BluesFest: Alanis Morissette

Derek Seguin at Yuk Yuks

Montreal-based Derek Seguin is one of the most sought-after stand-up comedians on the international circuit. He has performed at the prestigious invitation-only Just For Laughs festival an impressive ten times and numerous times at every other major festival in the country, making several television appearances along the way.

Atletico Ottawa vs. Cavalry FC

Atletico Ottawa are back on home turf to take on Cavalry FC, and they are throwing a beach party. The first 500 fans receive a Lei, and there’s a chance to win a $1000 travel voucher for the best-dressed beach attire.


613 Flea

Festival D’humour de Gatineau

When: July 7-9, 2022
Where: Place de la Cite, 500 de la cité Boulevard, Gatineau
What time: Doors open at 5 pm nightly; Show starts at 8 pm
Admission: $50 per day or $85 for all three days • advance tickets only

All ages are welcome to laugh out loud at the Gatineau Comedy Festival. The outdoor show features three evenings of great French comedians hosted by MC Phil Brown. Rain or shine, the general admission event is guaranteed to be a good time.

NCC Shuttle to Gatineau Park

When: Saturdays and Sundays until August 28, 2022
Where: Various stops in Gatineau Park from the Ottawa side
What time: 9:10 – 3:10 pm departing and 9:45 to 4:45 for returns trips
Admission: Free

Want to take advantage of Gatineau Park this weekend but don’t have a car? No worries, the NCC offers a free shuttle service all summer from Wellington at Lyon Street to various stops in the park. No reservations, limited seating: first-come, first served. The shuttles are also accessible and wheelchair friendly.

Outerbridges Clockwork Mysteries

Famous magical arts performing couple Ted and Marion Outerbridge will perform their world-renowned show Clockwork Mysteries this summer in Smiths Falls, a short drive from Ottawa. The 2011 Ontario Contact award-winning show is a spectacle combining magic, theatre, and dance into one outstanding performance centered around a mysterious clock tower with other-worldly devices, including a Victorian time machine.
