Calling all K-Pop dancers, the 2022 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival, co-hosted by The Seoul Shinmum Daily and Korean Cultural Centre (KCC), is calling for competitors to participate in this year’s cover dance competition.
K-Pop is the Korean subculture of music that began in the 1990s and started a Korean Wave that spread to countries all around the globe. From Bangladesh and India to Latin America and Canada, international audiences can't get enough of this Korean popular music and dance style.
The top 10-12 teams selected will move on to round 2 and will compete at the Canadian preliminary round on Sunday, September 18th, at the Meridian Theatre @ Centrepointe. The winning 2022 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival team will be guaranteed a spot to represent Canada at the global final round in Korea in October 2022.
The deadline to upload your team’s submission for Round 1 is August 26th, 11:59 pm (PST). Please note that the deadline on the KCDF website below is for general use; for Canada, the deadline is August 26th. For application details and instructions, please visit http://coverdance.seoul.
