THE CANADIAN AMERICAN BUSINESS COUNCIL EVENT
Wednesday, November 16, 2016 / Chateau Laurier
It’s that annual gathering of business politicos from across both borders celebrating US and Canadian business partnerships and glorifying a relationship that works.
Ben Mulroney was on hand to emcee and pay tribute to the many DC attendees including two that ran for the president – Republican Senator Rick Santorum, and Democrat former Governor Howard Dean.
While Ottawa’s favorite American, Scotty Greenwood, the organizer was the belle of the ball, other notables included US Ambassador Bruce and his wife Vicki Heyman, former US Ambassador Gordon Giffin, Mark McKinnon of Showtime’s The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth, Dalton McGuinty and James Moore.
THE 6TH ANNUAL KALEIDOSCOPE OF HOPE GALA
October 29, 2016 / The Centurion Conference and Event Centre
Powerhouse Sharon House did what she does best, creating a dreamy transformative atmosphere, providing intrigue and fun for all the guests, while raising lots of money for children’s health.
Her trademark event the Kaleidoscope Gala has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for a kaleidoscope of causes such as CHEO, Do It For Daron (DIFD), and the Youth Services Bureau (YSB) to deliver the messages – Life is worth living. Life can get better. There is help.
This year’s theme was the masquerade, and was appropriatly chosen as a prelude to Halloween. Guests were greeted to amped up cheering children and scary bikers who later revealed that they were members of a child protection guild named Guardians Of The Children.
Circus themed décor, masked guests in haunting evening wear, and specifically dimmed and coloured lighting created a mysterious backdrop and a memorable evening.
