Whether you’re shopping for yourself (hey, you’ve earned it) or picking up gifts for family, friends or coworkers, I’ve outlined some stylish fashion finds for every price point. Get ready to shop! Here are some chic things I’m hoping to give and receive this season.
The Fashion-Forward
What is she missing from her wardrobe? Staying on trend can be a constant battle, so opt to buy her something that has a classic feel. The sporty look has been dominating the fashion headlines, so find a blend of the two with a fitted vest or a classic styled boot.
Has she been dropping hints?
If she has, go with her suggestions for a no-fail gift. It can’t hurt to get the conversation going by suggesting some items for yourself and then inquire if she has anything on her list.
If you’re looking to go big, you can’t go wrong with a seasonal purse or a gift card for a spa day at Oresta.
Girl on the Go
She’s often jetting south to warmer climates and won’t hesitate to share (or brag) about it on Instagram. We’ve all got that friend and they’re surprisingly easy to shop for.
Get her what she needs –luggage (to replace the tired looking bag she’s been using), a new cell phone case (to match her upcoming holiday) or that perfect sun hat (they always get squished in her luggage so she ends up buying a new one every time she travels).
If you’re stuck on what to buy, she’s likely to appreciate a gift certificate to her favourite airline.
The Outdoor Enthusiast
You’ll be sure to find her skating on the canal in 2017 and she’s already been snowshoeing in Gatineau. She’s always on the hunt for the latest sweat-wicking technology that will make spending time in the outdoors much more tolerable when it’s -25. Get her what she needs – top of the line gear! These Merrell boots change colour to indicate icy temperatures and I always wear my Arc’teryx zip-up underneath my coat when I head to the hills to go snowboarding. A true adventurer always comes prepared, so additional layers are always a great gift.
Make Life Easier
Buy something for the house to help with the daily chores. With the never-ending list of things ‘to-do’, make life a bit easier with some top tech home toys. She’ll be happy to see this robot vacuum under the tree – promise!
