Atlético Looking for a Win to Advance to the Semis and End the Season in “The Best Way”

Atlético Ottawa returns to the Canadian Premier League playoffs this weekend. After finishing in third place, the team will take on York United to determine who advances to the semi-finals.

The 2024 season has been a tale of two cities for the team. The first half saw Atlético dominate their opposition and take up residence at the top of the standings, whereas the second half was marked by numerous draws. In fact, all four of their games in September resulted in draws.

I had the opportunity to speak to Carlos Gonzalez, the 2022 Canadian Premier League Coach of the Year, who played a pivotal role in leading Ottawa back to the playoffs.

Atletico Ottawa take on York United this Sunday at 1 p.m. at TD Place.
