Blue Rodeo will drop their 16th studio album and first in over five years, Many A Mile, on December 3. The announcement came with the release today of the first single “When You Were Wild,” a rootsy melodic, easy ramblin, harmonized gem that showcases the incredible talent of Canada's most beloved band. The black and white video for the song is a campy lark that features band members lined up as one dimensional animated songsters playing and singing.
The spirit of “When You Were Wild” is summed up with the lyrics voiced by Greg Keelor: “On your darkest day you’ll find your best friends.” Says Keelor: “That line is what ‘When You Were Wild’ is all about. When you meet your moment of reckoning and you feel the fuckery of fate’s wheel careening through your life, it is friends that get you through. A lifetime of friendship is only remembered in the moment.”
