Blush 2015: Pamper Yourself in Style
Capture the evening’s fun with a professional photo booth
In case you had not noticed, the Christmas season is upon us. While you find yourself running around shopping for the perfect gift for your partner, kids, mother-in-law, colleagues and neighbours, be sure to remember yourself ladies–and your best girlfriends, of course! Every girl needs pampering and what better way to thank friends who have seen you through the good and bad than with a fun girl’s night out right here in Ottawa?
Blush is an event offering women an upscale night of pampering in celebration of International Women’s Day. The event will take place in March 2015, but tickets are on sale now and going fast. Founded by Bri Anderson-Jackson in 2013, Blush has grown exponentially in popularity–from 130 tickets sold in 2013, to 300 tickets in 2014 and a projected 375 in 2015. Turnout is expected to be so large, the event is being held at the National Art Centre, the place for celebrating art and entertainment in the capital.
When asked about whether or not she was surprised by the popularity of this event, Anderson-Jackson explained:
“I am not surprised by the popularity of BLUSH as this event is one that is much needed in our beautiful city. It’s where ladies can let loose for a few hours and bring out their inner party girl, while being pampered and feeling gorgeous. However, that being said, I am humbled by the level of enthusiasm and increasing support, not only from the ladies who attend every year, but from the generosity of the sponsors that helps us make BLUSH a must-attend event every year.”
So what can you expect as a guest? The evening promises red carpet paparazzi, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, pampering stations, beauty bars, nail bars, hair styling, hand and neck massages, a photo booth and music by DJ Choice and DJ Casual.
“This year our VIPs and regular ticket holders will leave with amazing swag bags valued far beyond the ticket price. As the event grows, so does the generosity of our sponsors,” says Sponsorship Coordinator, Amélie Clément. Along with the swag bags, there will be door prizes including products and gifts from Bourjois Paris, Beyond the Rack, Dermalogica, Simyskin, Therawise, Sothys, the Lord Elgin Hotel and the National Art Centre, to name a few.
So why celebrate being a woman? Why not!
“It’s important to celebrate women because, to be honest, women are simply FABULOUS! Women are strong, courageous yet nurturing and soft. We are a beautiful complex creature and merit a night of unapologetic fun! To be able to host an evening surrounded by lovely, confident BOSS ladies is one that I am blessed to be a part of,” says Anderson-Jackson.
