Run by Rethink Breast Cancer, the event brings together over 400 guests who will mix, mingle and enjoy flashy cocktails at the open bar, futuristic food, extraterrestrial entertainers, UFO’s and of course, plenty of intergalactic fashion. Lansdowne Park’s Horiculture building will be transformed into an all-out, interstellar space party where visitors will feel compelled to unleash their inner cyborg with alien antennas and space suits.
This year’s goal is to raise $50,000, with proceeds allocated to help expand Rethink’s innovative programs for young women concerned about and living with breast cancer. One small step onto Planet Booby can turn into a giant leap for those affected by breast cancer.
Boobyball was launched in 2002 by a group of dedicated young women in support of their friend Sarah O’Regan who, at just 23 years old, was diagnosed with aggressive, advanced breast cancer. Fast forward 14 years, and Boobyball is now one of the most coveted and high profile fundraising events for young philanthropists in Toronto, Calgary, Ottawa and Winnipeg, and Sarah is a thriving mother of three.
