None other than the hilariously talented DeAnne Smith will be headlining Yuk Yuk’s 12th annual Laugh Out Proud Show to celebrate Pride Week from August 17th to 19th.
Audiences around the world have reveled in DeAnne’s fast-paced wit, at the renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Iceland Comedy Festival and Just for Laughs Montreal and Chicago. She’s also appeared on the NBC’s Last Comic Standing, The Late Late Show on CBS, the CBC, Canada’s The Comedy Network, Australia’s Channel 10, ABC, and UK’s Sky TV.
Described by the Montreal Gazette as “fresh, cutting and one of the finest wits in the country,” DeAnne has produced four solo shows that have toured internationally, as well as four live comedy show series in Montreal.
Comedian, host and all-around superstar, Richard Ryder will also take the stage with a refreshing energy and “no holds barred” attitude that audiences have welcome again and again. No topic is too taboo for this Toronto native whose comedy is fresh, fast, funny and a constant source of embarrassment to his whole family, which is exactly how it should be!

Laugh Out Proud’s host, Jesse Reynolds, started performing stand-up in 2014 and hit the ground running. Jesse is no stranger to Ottawa locals. He is an actor, radio host and stand-up comedian who can be heard weekday mornings as one third of the ‘JUMP! Morning Crew’ on JUMP 106.9. Jesse brings listeners only the juiciest celebrity gossip every morning with his own personal flare and comedic timing.
He is recognized for the many events he has emceed in the city, including RBC Bluesfest, Capital Pride and the Ottawa Dog Festival to name a few.
