Ring in the New Year at Overflow Brewing Company, where an unforgettable night of music, food, and celebration awaits.
Known for hosting lively events that bring the community together, this New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31st at Overflow Brewing Company will pull out all the stops to help guests bid farewell to 2024 and welcome 2025 in style.
The evening kicks off at 8 p.m. when the brewery’s doors open, inviting guests into the vibrant Taproom that gives you that live music feel. An indulgent buffet available throughout the evening will ensure everyone is fuelled for the excitement. Overflow is known to have one of the best scratch Kitchens in Ottawa, and the buffet will be full of tasty hors d’oeuvres and appetizers all night.
Whether you’re there to dance, mingle, or soak up the vibe, the food and drink will set the stage for a celebration that keeps spirits high. Overflow is an Ottawa Craft Brewery and live music institution renowned for its dedication to quality and creativity.
Their beer lineup features acclaimed brews that have introduced Canadian and Ontario award winners into the local scene, including the crisp and refreshing Gold-winning Rearview Pilsner, the bold and hoppy Landlocked IPA, and an ever-evolving selection of unique rotating taps. Each beer reflects Overflow’s passion for brewing, combining innovation and tradition to deliver consistently excellent flavours. Guests at the 2024 New Year’s Eve celebration can savour these expertly crafted beers as well as some of the city’s best curated cocktails, with locally sourced wine cider and spirits.
Little Bones, A Tribute to The Tragically Hip, well-known at Overflow, will add to the night’s fun atmosphere. As co-owner Fennell tells Ottawa Life, it’s always an occasion when Little Bones shows up, with this performance marking their 12th at the venue.
Led by seasoned vocalist Dan Hilts, whose powerful performances capture the spirit of Gord Downie, Little Bones delivers an authentic and electrifying concert. Guitarist James Frew recreates Rob Baker’s iconic sound with precision, while bassist Dave Schroeder brings his rich expertise as a Doctor of Musical Arts to the stage. Drummer Don Richard, a 29-year veteran of the band, drives the timeless rhythms, and guitarist Jeff de Valk adds fresh energy and versatility to the mix. Together, they create a dynamic show that pays heartfelt homage to Canada’s legendary rock band.
The venue has plenty of room to dance your way into the new year, but if you want to sit and just watch the music while having a drink or two, Fennell and the Overflow team have got you covered with plenty of space so that “everyone has a place to sit” — something you won’t find at most other New Year’s live shows.
The midnight moment will be one to remember as guests gather under Overflow’s signature disco ball for a champagne toast and a dazzling light display. The energy will grow as the catalogue of songs we grew up singing brings us to the long-awaited countdown. As in past years, Overflow has seen 200-plus people marking the arrival of a new year together, making the evening exciting for all.
Overflow Brewing Company is located near Bank and Heron, making it easy to get to. The accessible location has plenty of free parking available for designated drivers. Whether arriving with friends or meeting new ones there, getting to and from the event couldn’t be easier, making it a hassle-free way to participate in the festivities.
Tickets for the event are $75 and include the buffet a champagne toast and loads of party favours. They can be purchased online at Overflow Brewing Co’s website. With the brewery’s reputation for hosting sell-out events, securing your spot early is recommended.
Don’t miss the chance to ring in the New Year at one of Ottawa’s best celebrations. As Fennell puts it, “It’s just going to be one of those nights you don’t want to end”.
