Get shopping and support local Ottawa artisans

Ottawa Artisans introduces the largest online craft fair

Craft fairs are simply fun. They are a popular way to support local artisans and the one-on-one with small vendors makes buying seasonal items, homemade delicacies, and that “Oh my, how cute is that” item for yourself so enjoyable.

While craft fairs highlight new artists and small businesses, COVID-19 has seen most Ottawa vendors lose their entire season, as in-person markets and craft fairs have been either cancelled or postponed. But all is not lost; Ottawa Artisans came up with an online platform to promote local artists and vendors.

Ottawaartisans.com launched in February 2020 and hosts more than 220 vendors, featuring more than 4,000 handmade products available for purchase. From September 25-27, the largest virtual craft fair in Ottawa will be hosted on the site.

Ottawans will be able to shop from more than 100 local artisans and receive their entire order for flat-rate shipping fee of $15, $10 for a local drop-off or choose the free pick-up option at Flamingo Boutique in Hintonburg. The first 50 customers will receive a gift and there will be daily artisan product giveaways on their social media starting September 1, 2020.

As an up-and-coming local shopping destination, ottawaartisans.com helps support Ottawa’s small makers and showcases the best artists in the city.

Despite the challenges, all the vendors are motivated to make the Fall market THE shopping destination for September and beyond.
