Get toasty warm in Ottawa with UNIQLO
UNIQLO is giving out free clothing in OTTAWA’s ByWard Market and across downtown on Tuesday
As the weather begins to cool down outside, casual wear retailer UNIQLO will be giving away thousands of HEATTECH items in Ottawa's ByWard Market and across downtown on Tuesday October 9. In total, 50,000 HEATTECH items will be given away in five cities across the country by the end of the fall, including Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg and OTTAWA! Of the 50,000 items, 5,000 will be donated directly to local charities. "We’re excited for Canadians to discover HEATTECH, a product so central to everyday living that for many people it is the definition of LifeWear, clothing thoughtfully created to make everyday life better and more comfortable," says Asuhiro Hayashi, Chief Operating Officer of UNIQLO Canada.
HEATTECH is thin and warm innerwear, an item of clothing meant to be worn under clothes, that UNIQLO and Toray Industries of Japan developed together to keep people warm and comfortable. It absorbs moisture from the body to generate heat, while air pockets in the fabric fibres retain heat. It has evolved over the years to become thinner, lighter, smoother, and warmer, transforming winter fashion around the globe. It is an ideal item of clothing for people across Canada spending long hours working outside in freezing temperatures.
To receive a free sample, customers and fans are invited to find the HEATTECH activation, download the UNIQLO app at and follow the steps to complete membership registration. To discover exact dates and locations and share their excitement about the giveaways via the company's Canadian social media channels including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using #KeepToastyCanada #UniqloCanada.
