Give the Gift of Broadway Across Canada’s BEETLEJUICE
He earned his stripes on Broadway… now the ghost-with-the-most is coming to our city.
Broadway Across Canada’s North American Tour of BEETLEJUICE, the edgy and irreverent Broadway smash-hit musical comedy, is coming to the National Arts Centre from May 27 to June 1. Tickets went on sale Monday, December 16, 2024, making them an ideal Christmas gift!
Based on the beloved 1988 Academy Award-winning film Beetlejuice, directed by Tim Burton and starring Michael Keaton as the mischievous ghost with a knack for chaos, the stage version brings a fresh and hilarious twist to this dark fantasy-comedy.
This hilarious musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. And under its uproarious surface (six feet under, to be exact), it’s a remarkably touching show about family, love, and making the most of every Day-O!
The theatrical adaptation is directed by Tony Award® winner Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge!) and features an original score by Tony Award nominee Eddie Perfect (King Kong). The production first opened at Broadway’s Winter Garden Theatre on April 25, 2019, earning eight Tony Award nominations, including Best New Musical.
The show became an instant hit following the release of its original Broadway cast recording and a standout Tony Awards performance. Ticket sales soared, making BEETLEJUICE the surprise smash of the 2018/2019 Broadway season.
The musical’s soundtrack has been streamed over 250 million times in the United States and 760 million times globally. It has also landed on Spotify’s “Viral 50” charts in 13 countries, cementing its status as a cultural phenomenon.
Give the gift of ghoulish fun in the high-energy spectacle of BEETLEJUICE live on stage this spring!
Tickets start at $85.50 and can be purchased from the National Arts Centre or by calling the box office at 1-844-985-2787 (ARTS)
