Grey Cup Sells Out

The 105th Grey Cup presented by Shaw is officially SOLD OUT!

On Thursday, the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG) announced that they’ve reached capacity for Canada’s largest annual sporting event that will kickoff at TD Place exactly one month from today.

“The excitement from RNation and CFL fans across our country has been tremendous and we promise that this will be a Grey Cup to remember,” said Jeff Hunt, President of OSEG Sports. “RNation is ready to welcome Our Nation for a week-long party that Canadians won’t soon forget.”

With the addition of temporary stands in both the east and west end zones, capacity at TD Place has increased from 24,000 to 36,000.

“This sellout is great news,” said Randy Ambrosie, Commissioner of the Canadian Football League. “It’s a testament to the passion of our fans across the country, and the tremendous excitement in Ottawa, where the return of CFL football has been one of the great success stories in Canadian sport. We’re looking forward to a great 105th Grey Cup presented by Shaw.”

Ottawa was awarded the right to host 105th Grey Cup presented by Shaw on July 31, 2016. Less than four months later, the REDBLACKS were crowned Grey Cup Champions and OSEG, the REDBLACKS parent company, was accepting ticket deposits as part of their 105-hour campaign.

Fans still looking for Grey Cup tickets are recommended to visit StubHub, the official ticket marketplace of the Ottawa REDBLACKS and TD Place. Unlike other sources, every TD Place transaction on StubHub is verified and backed by their Fan Protect Guarantee enabling Grey Cup fans to buy and sell tickets safely and securely on the world’s largest ticket marketplace.

“While we’ve hit capacity for the Grey Cup Championship Game, we have an exciting week of events to get everyone swept up in Grey Cup fever,” said Hunt. “Our Grey Cup Festival offers something for everyone celebrating our diversity, our music, our culture, our sport, our families and Our Nation.”

The excitement will begin on November 21 when the Grey Cup arrives in the nation’s capital to kick-off the Grey Cup Festival presented by Shaw. The week-long festival will feature more than 30 free and ticketed events – headlined by the Grey Cup Festival Concert Series presented by TD, 2017 Shaw CFL Awards and Rev-Up Party, Nissan Titan Street Festival, Gridiron Gals event, Family Fun Zone and the ever-popular RNation Party – offering something for everyone.
