Hot New Businesswear Startup Setting up Shop in Ottawa
They’ve built up considerable hype in Toronto. And for just two days, they’ll be bringing their hip, modern designer fashion to Ottawa.
Four Fifty Five is a made-to-measure men’s and woman’s wear company. Founded by brothers Noah and Jacob Parker, the company’s development started in Ryerson University’s Fashion Zone, one of Canada’s first incubators for fashion-related business and entrepreneurship. After eighteen months of painstaking work, Four Fifty Five finally celebrated their March studio launch with a party for friends, family and customers.
“It was incredible to see everyone who came out in support of Four Fifty Five,” says Creative Director Noah Parker. “The number of people wearing our garments and accessories blew me away.”
Finally able to declare themselves “open for business,” the Parkers can now bring their unique approach to business attire to the public. Four Fifty Five’s products range from suits, shirts and outerwear to stylish accessories, such as socks, pocket squares and cuff links. They offer by-appointment custom clothing, ensuring an ideal fit and the perfect look. It’s all achieved through extensive measurements (up to twenty), choosing the perfect swatches (of which there are hundreds), and plenty of room for customization. With the ability to build and design an outfit from scratch (or from an available design), each fitting session results in an entirely unique end product.
All of this is done for a price that is considerably more affordable than the industry average.
Not only does their clothing look simultaneously modern and timeless, but little time stands between you and your custom garments. A fitting appointment generally lasts an hour; after this, your clothing will be delivered to you in a matter of weeks. If upon arrival a few alterations still need to be made, Four Fifty Five will cover the cost of alterations to ensure its perfect fit.
In order to carry on their momentum from their studio launch, Four Fifty Five will be opening up a pop-up shop in Ottawa July 15-16. Here, they’ll be setting up shop on the second floor of 78 George St (Unit 202) in the ByWard Market. Over their two-day residency, they’ll be taking appointments and walk-ins, 11 AM – 5 PM.
Make sure you stay ahead of the fashion curb, and continue being the best dressed in the office. Four Fifty Five plan to hit up more Canadian cities into the future. You could be among the first sporting their label.
