Invictus Games Coming to Toronto for Canada’s 150th!
Established by Prince Harry in 2014, the Invictus Games are the only sporting event for ill, wounded and injured active duty and veteran service members, using the power of adaptive sport to help wounded warriors on their journey to recovery.
Invictus Games competitors are active duty and veteran service members from participating allied nations who have become wounded, ill or injured during or as a direct consequence of their service. Presented by Jaguar Land Rover, the third Invictus Games will be the largest Games yet, with 550 competitors from 17 nations competing in 12 sports, including wheelchair rugby, athletics, swimming and new to the 2017 Games, golf. The Games will be hosted in Toronto, in September, 2017 during Canada’s 150thanniversary of Confederation, providing a unique opportunity for Canadians to commemorate and honour our ill, wounded and injured soldiers, and their families.
