It’s Country at the Casino
Pull out your cowboy boots because things are about to get rowdy; the wild west is coming to the capital. From September 11th to October 21st, it’s Country at the Casino du Lac-Leamy. Be Annie Oakley or Butch Cassidy for the night as the Casino goes full-on Nashville, fun and flashy with plenty of exciting activities to get you going.
Watch and learn as the Casino cowboys and cowgirls get back in the saddle try their hands at riding a bucking bronco with the Mechanical Bull roulette. But this is not their first rodeo; for a taste of the action, watch this video from last year.
Things get heated on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays / Saturdays from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. when the cowboys and cowgirls take to the dance floor to perform some steamy choreography. The final show at Bar 7 on Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m can’t be missed.
Learn to do-si-do from the best – the Casino cowboys – and get roped into line dancing lessons on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
All that time out on the range calls for some western style grub. Tame your appetite with a cowboy inspired dish at one of the Casino’s two restaurants. Whether it’s back ribs served with French fries, coleslaw and corn on the cob at Restaurant Banco Bistro ($24) or beef short ribs cooked in root beer, Swiss chard and jalapeño corn bread ($39) at Restaurant Arôme, you’re in for a treat. If you’d rather go big or go home, take on the 60 oz. T-bone steak fit for two with homemade fries, vegetables of the day and all the sauce you can eat served by the chef at Restaurant Arôme ($115).
Top off a night fit for a true outlaw with a stampede of free musical performances.
Swing by to say howdy when things get raunchy at the ranch.
Open to anyone 18 years and older, it’s Country gallops into the homestead of Gatineau every weekend from September 11th to October 21st starting Thursdays at 6 p.m. and Fridays / Saturdays at 8 p.m. There will be disability access and free parking.
