KidsCanSwim Canada Hosting an Open House for New Learn-to-Swim Facility in Orléans

KidsCanSwim Canada has officially opened its newest learn-to-swim facility in Orléans. Located at 2006 Mer-Bleue Road, the centre is designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for children to learn essential water safety skills. Catering to children as young as three months old, the program emphasizes safety, confidence, and skill development through a science-based curriculum delivered by professional aquatic educators.

The opening of the facility is timely for parents in Orléans and the surrounding areas. As the population continues to grow rapidly, KidsCanSwim Canada’s Orléans location offers a new facility to complement the growing needs of the community. KidsCanSwim Canada in Orléans provides flexible scheduling and accessible programming to help more children gain vital swimming skills in a safe and supportive environment.

At the core of KidsCanSwim Canada’s philosophy are three guiding principles: swimming is a life skill that should be taught with care and expertise; every child has the right to learn in a setting designed for their comfort and safety; and parents deserve an easy registration process with flexible options to accommodate busy schedules. These values are central to the program’s mission and shape every aspect of its delivery.

KidsCanSwim Canada might be a Canadian company but first and foremost, it was started right here in the nation’s capital, so in addition to being pros at teaching aquatics, it knows Ottawa. Classes are intentionally kept small, fostering focused and effective instruction, while monthly assessments track progress and ensure children advance according to their abilities.

To celebrate the grand opening, KidsCanSwim Canada is throwing open the doors and welcoming everyone on Saturday, February 1, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to see how they do swim lessons differently. The event offers families the chance to tour the facility, meet the educators, watch swim demonstrations, and participate in engaging activities for all ages. Parents will also have the opportunity to register their kids for lessons during the event.

“Our open house is the perfect opportunity for families to see what sets KidsCanSwim Canada apart,” said Hugues Boisvert, President & CEO of KidsCanSwim Canada. “We’re excited to welcome the community, showcase our amazing facility, and introduce children to the joy of swimming in a safe and supportive environment.”

The Orléans location joins an existing KidsCanSwim Canada facility in Kanata, providing families across Ottawa with access to high-quality aquatic education. The expansion reflects KidsCanSwim Canada’s commitment to promoting water safety and ensuring children have access to programs that foster confidence and essential swimming skills.

With over 100 drownings in Ontario alone in 2024, learning to swim is an essential skill that a spokesperson for the Lifesaving Society calls “immunization against drowning.” In light of this, KidsCanSwim Canada’s mission is to make swimming a life skill accessible to all children. Its science-based curriculum, combined with the benefit of repetition, ensures success.

The thoughtful design of both KidsCanSwim Canada’s registration process and the physical locations prioritize ease and comfort for families, while warm-water pools, modern change rooms, and flexible scheduling options reduce stress and enhance the learning experience for children.

Boisvert says that registering for lessons is easy: “We have a how-to guide on the website so you can sign up your little swimmer for a program that best suits their needs and skill set.”

With the demand for high-quality swimming lessons continues to grow, this new location delivered by a successful Ottawa business is a valuable asset to the community, ensuring that more children can gain confidence and critical water safety skills.
