Last night Ottawa’s fashion folks gathered to celebrate the Annual Loft Gala event 2017. This event continued the appetite that the Ottawa crowd has for partaking in hip, fashion scene, by replacing the once happening event Ottawa Fashion Week. The Loft Gala is more Ottawa-centric by proving that fashion can contribute to a cause – cancer care, and all the while congregate with likeminded trendsetters who wish to “dress up for a good cause”.
The event is the mastermind of hair stylist Bruno Racine who owns the hair center – The Loft. It is sponsored by L’Oreal and was hosted by CTV’s Sarah Freemark.
This year’s event revolved around the theme of Alice in Wonderland, and throughout the event characters like the Queen of Hearts and Mad Hatter mingled with the crowd.
The Loft Event is a fun lighthearted event and this year it was not short on entertainment with DJ Rob Cosh, Absi Dance Group, operatic performances by Measha Brueggergoshman and some NAC Orchestra musicians, live stylist performance by Sylvie Prud’Holmme, a fashion presentation by designer Michael D., a silent auction with Lawrence Greenspon, as well as an open invitation to the after party with DJ Graham of Parkdale.
Food was artistically presented by Denis Girard the Chef Executive of The Casino du Lac-Leamy, and big kudos to the Gala committee who transformed the Hilton ballroom.
