Oh Wild October Wind

Oh wild October wind
With your breath of fury
Take the autumn leaves
And make them all scurry
Carry them with you
Along pastures and fields
By brooks and streams
Where the Birch trees kneel

Bend the Maples
Make their branches sway
But leave the wildflowers
For another day
Spare not the highest leaf
In your final retreat
And force those standing
To admit defeat
