Ottawa Vocalist Honours the Greatest Generation

Professional singer Erica Feininger will present a live rendition of Bewitched, her first full-length CD of standards from the 1930s to the 1950s on Saturday, October 1, at the National Art Centre’s Fourth Stage. The show starts at 7:30pm.

Ms. Feininger is a well-known Ottawa performer with 20 years’ musical experience. She brings passion, power and sophistication to the Great American Songbook. As a celebration and tribute to the generation that gave us these jazz classics, Ms. Feininger has chosen to launch Bewitched on October 1 – the United Nations International Day of Older Persons. The vocalist’s band features Mark Ferguson on piano, percussionist Jack Litster and Howard Tweddle on upright bass, as well as a three-piece horn section that kicks in at 8pm.

Ms. Feininger grew up in an artistic family and is the daughter of American mezzo-soprano opera singer and voice teacher Donna Klimoska.

Tickets are $20 at the door, or in advance through the NAC Box Office. CDs will be available for sale at the event and can also be purchased at Compact Music, or online at www.ericafeiningersinger.com.
