Ottawa’s BLACKBOOK Lifestyle celebrates 10 years

BLACKBOOK Lifestyle is a creative and innovative marketing, media, design, and events planning company. With an integrated approach to build a client’s profile and presence in their industry, The company strives to fully represent their client’s brand. This year, BLACKBOOK Lifestyle is meeting an exciting new milestone; a 10-year anniversary.

While they will not be able to host a large celebration due to the pandemic, mark your calendars for an even better celebration in 2021 and keep an eye out for their new BBX branding.

"We're tremendously proud to mark 10 years celebrating the style and creativity that exists in the National Capital Region," says James Jefferson, BLACKBOOK Lifestyle's co-owner.

"Ottawa is a city on the rise, with a surprisingly fashionable flair."

The past ten years has had many notable events for Jefferson and his business partner, Daniel Mackinnon such as creative advertising campaigns, exciting partnerships, and charitable projects. A few of the highlights from the past decade include work with the 2012 and 2017 JUNO Awards, the 2011 Genie Awards, as well as the stylish redevelopment at Bayshore Shopping Centre.

BLACKBOOK Lifestyle is passionate about working with their customers to reach their goals and offer help in the local community. Their agency's portfolio includes a number of brands, including multiple shopping centres within the Ivanhoe Cambridge umbrella, Otto's BMW and Otto's Subaru, Ottawa Embassy Hotel and Suites, the Ottawa Dental Society, Ashbury College, the Andaz Hotel, the Canadian Tire Dealers Association, H&M, Giant Tiger, and Corus Entertainment, among others.

They offer an extensive amount of services including; brand development & representation, brand & product launching, press relations, consumer & media event planning, media planning / buying, graphic design & printing, writing, editing & translation, online / social media marketing, commercial campaign development, marketing strategy development.

Along with a diverse range of clients, BLACKBOOK donates to and supports local charity initiatives. They strive to donate roughly 10 per cent of their time and resources to charitable and community initiatives each year. Over the past decade, BLACKBOOK Lifestyle has offered services to the Ottawa Art Expo, the IBD Foundation, the Joan of Arc Academy, UNHCR, Ottawa Fashion Week, and many more.

“BLACKBOOK Lifestyle will continue to grow and expand our reach throughout the city and across Canada, working with more and more lifestyle-driven clients. Currently we work with brands in Ottawa, Toronto, Burlington, Montreal, and Edmonton,” says Jefferson.

Jefferson says they hope to continue to spread their signature style around the city, throughout Canada, and across the digital universe. "Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, we still plan to host a decennial birthday bash, though it will likely be an extra year in the making," he says.

Despite the many challenges of COVID-19 BLACKBOOK Lifestyle has many plans for their future. They strive to make a difference and help their clients achieve their goals!
