Bold, modern, and opulent, Infinity Convention Centre is Ottawa’s newest wedding and events venue.
The $20M centre joins the South Ottawa family owned and operated hotel properties the Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn by Hilton, the soon to be built Homewood Suites by Hilton, and The Residence Inn by Marriott.
Being in the hospitality field for two decades, the Sohal family recognized this business opportunity in the lack of hotels in Ottawa’s south end, as well as the limited high-end spaces available for social and corporate events.
The stunning centre was designed by renowned local architect Robert Woodman. Jolanta Lukas and her firm, Royal Design, designed the interior spaces.
Infinity Convention Centre boasts glamorous 15,000 sq. ft., with 1,500 person capacity. The space itself is customizable and obstruction-free, with soaring 12’ high ceilings. Walking into the foyer, guests are greeted by an immense floor-to-ceiling water feature, a stunning one-of-a-kind crystal chandelier, high gloss marble floors, and inviting fireplaces.
The in-house audio visual capabilities are revolutionary to Ottawa. More commonly found in glamorous Las Vegas hotels, the AV system includes a fully digital low-voltage LED house lighting system augmented by an impressive 150 fixtures, all with 360 degree range of motion. The lighting is completely computer controlled, enabling unlimited range of ambiance with over 250 different colour options. There are seven built-in 200 inch HD screens and projectors, in addition to second level AV control/DJ booths to maximize floor space. The built-in digitally processed sound system provides 360 degrees of high quality balanced acoustics, with clarity for presentations, ambient music, and dance hall beats.
Infinity officially opens its doors in October with a 600 VIP guest Gala, hosted by Ben Mulroney. This invite-only luxury event will allow guests to enjoy the centre in its full lavishness – inspired by old Hollywood glam, the evening will showcase posh entertainment, eccentric cocktails, and gourmet food.
