Registration is open for the KKC’s summer K-Pop Academy
The Korean Cultural Centre Canada (Director Sung-eun Lee) is hosting the 2021 K-Pop Academy from July 12th to August 13th, an online K-Pop dance class prepared for the summer vacation. Two different levels will be available: Beginner and Intermediate. During the 5-weeks course over the summer, participants will learn two K-Pop choreographies by K-Pop dance instructors via ZOOM. Registration opens on June 28th and the first 50 applicants per class will be able to join.
In compliance with the social distancing order during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Korean Cultural Centre launched the ‘Solo K-Pop Relay Dance’ in 2020. As a participatory online event, anyone can participate in the relay dance by mastering the choreography of a selected K-Pop song, recording their dance moves, and submitting their covers. After receiving high number of submissions of our recent relay dance, Butter by BTS, the next round’s song is “Alcohol-Free” by TWICE. Covers can be submitted by July 18th and all submission videos will be compiled and edited into one final video, which will be published on KCC’s social media platforms.
