Save the Date for the Second Annual Fluevogs for Therapy Dogs

Booze, shoes, and therapy dogs: an unlikely trio that seems to be a match made in heaven when it comes to the Fluevogs for Therapy Dogs fundraising event.

On Saturday, June 15th, John Fluevogs Shoes-an eco-friendly shoe Canadian organization-will be hosting Ottawa Therapy Dogs (OTD) for the second edition of the Fluevogs for Therapy Dogs fundraiser. The purpose of this fundraiser is to support teams of therapy dogs that provide comfort and care to vulnerable people in need.

How will this fundraiser work? At the event contributors have the opportunity to treat themselves to a pair of Fluevog shoes, and in return John Fluevog has generously decided to donate 50% of all sales to OTD in order to support their therapy teams.

To top off the event, Flora Hall Brewing will be on site serving samplers of their iconic beverages.

John Fluevog has repeatedly shown that he is passionate about using his company to do good. The motto for Fluevogs is even “good soles leave small prints” which alludes to the fact that his shoes are all eco-friendly.

“One of the many reasons John Fluevog Shoes is amazing is that we are able to collaborate with different organizations that do good things in the community. This kind of collaboration is exciting because it brings productive, animated groups into the much-deserved spotlight," says John Fluevog Shoes’ Ottawa Manager, Dan Metcalfe.

And what better way to show such dedication to collaboration than by supporting such an important organization that in turn helps vulnerable people in our community?

“My pick is the Northhampton Duston. Much like myself, a Welsh Corgi, the Duston also has partial roots in jolly old England.”

“My pick is the Button Vog Socks because just like me and my friends here at Ottawa Therapy Dogs, they are too adorable not to hug at first sight!”

“My pick is the Lady Miss because while not all of us get to be literal rock stars…I know that doesn’t mean we can’t always look the part!”

“My pick is the Nap. Not only because this shoe is named after one of my favourite past times… but because their crepe heels provide a feel-good lift, much like I do when I am on duty with Ottawa Therapy Dogs.”

“My pick is the JF Dog Collar…why let humans have all the fun? I would LOVE to wear one of John’s specialty leathers, also used in his latest shoe designs. Now to convince my Ottawa Therapy Dogs handler to buy the matching shoes & we can show off our Vogs together!”
