Shake Off the Cold at the Irish Spring Fair

Want a fun way to welcome the spring that has finally arrived in Ottawa? Check out the Irish Spring Fair taking place on Saturday, April 13.

The event will be held at St. Patrick’s High School, located at 2525 Alta Vista Drive, and will run from 10am to 3pm.

There will be over 100 booths and vendors, selling and showcasing handmade and truly unique items. If you are looking for Easter gifts for your loved ones, or simply something for yourself, you will be sure to discover something to suit your needs and tastes. Jewelry, toys, and stained-glass windows will be featured alongside hand knit and crocheted sweaters and bags, handcrafted clothing, and much more.

Also on hand will be Ottawa’s own Meghan and Sally Tibbits, author and illustrator of the Badger Tales children’s book. This daughter and mother team created The Teacup Fliers together. Meghan wrote the story based on paintings her mother had done when she was a small child.

A supervised play area will be available for parents who would like to take advantage of the extra help while they look around, or enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and delicious treats at the cafe that will be set up for those who need a wee break.

Be sure to stop by the raffle table and buy a ticket. Each vendor will be donating something, and you can choose which prize you would like to try to win. There will also be an Easter basket, filled with gift cards worth $200 (for gas, groceries, etc.) that one lucky winner will take home.

The cost of admission is $2 for adults, while children under 12 will be free of charge. Free parking is available.

This is going to be a fun event, so make plans to include the Spring Fair on your calendar!
