Spring into Action: Help Clean Up Ottawa with the 2025 Cleaning the Capital Campaign!

Do you have high schoolers looking to earn volunteer hours? A Scout or Guide group eager to give back? Or maybe you’re one of the thousands of dedicated volunteers who roll up their sleeves twice a year to keep Ottawa looking its best.

No matter if you’re a team of one or a hundred, join the Cleaning the Capital litter cleanup project and make a difference in your community. After a long winter, our parks, shorelines, and streets could use a little TLC—so let’s get to work.

Since 1994, more than 1.5 million volunteers have helped remove over 1.2 million kilograms of waste across the city. Be part of this incredible legacy by signing up for the spring 2025 campaign.

How to Get Involved

• Register with the City of Ottawa by Friday, May 2 and choose a cleanup site—parks, greenspaces, roadsides, shorelines, even bus stops!
