Spring Symphony Soiree
The Ottawa Symphony Orchestra is blooming with their Spring Symphony Soiree, which will take place on Saturday April 5, at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. There will be a welcome reception beginning at 6 p.m. followed by a concert at 6:30 featuring Juno-award winning violinist Alexandre de Costa and renowned pianist David Jalbert. Guests will be provided with a savory dinner and a live auction presenting ten luxury packages in the elegant ballroom. Dr. Gilles Patry is the honorary chair of the event; he is the President and CEO of the Canada Foundation for Innovation. Lucy Van Oldenbarneveld, CBC Radio host will be master of the ceremonies that evening and Mayor Jim Watson will be returning as the auctioneer.
Proceeds from the event support the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra’s concert series at the National Arts Centre and outreach programs including the mentorship program for orchestral students and students at the symphony program.
Tickets to the event are being sold for $200 per person and corporate tables of 10 will also be available for $2500. Additionally guests will have the advantage of purchasing a premium table for $3000, which includes hosting a prominent member of Ottawa’s diplomatic community.
